Joint letter on energy measures

The prime ministers of Sweden, Denmark and Finland have jointly written a letter to President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on the importance of urgent action to tackle soaring energy prices.

High electricity prices, which are a consequence of Putin’s energy war on Europe, are best dealt with jointly in the EU. In the letter, the three prime ministers stress the need to save energy, the importance of minimising the impact of gas prices on electricity prices and the need to continue the green transition.
