This was the first formal visit from an EU institution in connection with the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2023. The agenda included a study visit to Stockholm Exergi, discussions about the upcoming Presidency’s priorities and cooperation between EU institutions.

“This visit marks the important relationship between the Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament. We had fruitful discussions today about the political issues and challenges ahead of us. The unity of the European union is more important than perhaps ever before,” said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson during a press conference together with President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
