Prime Minister to take part in informal Nordic prime ministers meeting in Oslo

(New version) On Monday 15 August, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson will travel to Oslo to take part in an informal meeting of Nordic prime ministers.

Norway holds the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers this year and will host the meeting. Nordic prime ministers Jonas Gahr Støre, Mette Frederiksen, Sanna Marin, Katrín Jakobsdóttir and Magdalena Andersson will discuss issues including defence, sustainable marine management and green transition.

Germany’s Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz will join the prime ministers in Oslo in the afternoon for a separate German-Nordic meeting.

Three press conferences will be held in Oslo on Monday afternoon. Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson will participate in two of them:
