Press conference in Luleå with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken

On Tuesday 30 May, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will visit Sweden. On the first day of the visit, he will meet with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström at Luleå air base, Norrbotten Wing (F 21). A press conference will be held after the meeting.

Time:
Place: The press conference will be held at the Swedish Armed Forces’ Norrbotten Wing (F 21), Kallaxheden, Luleå. Members of the media are to be at Kallaxvägen 190 outside BDX Företagen by 17.45 (see link to the map in the shortcuts section below). A bus will depart from there for Luleå air base (F 21). The press conference will be livestreamed and available on-demand on government.se following the event. Please note that there is likely to be limited mobile bandwidth.

Practical information: Advance registration is required by 10.00 on Monday 29 May via email to Jonathan Svensson (see information box below). Participation is subject to available space. Swedish journalists must be Swedish citizens, and foreign journalists must have an approved Request for Visit (RfV).

Information about media accreditation

Journalists must include the following in the advance registration: their personal identity number, their full name, the name of their editorial office, the capacity in which they will attend and a copy of their press ID. Freelance journalists must also attach a copy of their assignment from the responsible publisher or equivalent.

Foreign journalists must also have an approved Request for Visit (RfV), without which entry will be refused to the area where the press conference will be held.

Email a completed RfV application to [email protected], the Swedish Armed Forces Headquarters, Operational Division’s Implementation Section. To enter, you must show your passport to confirm your identity.
