This is Sweden’s Seventh National Communication (NC7), which summarises the progress Sweden has made to meetits obligations under the United Nations FrameworkConvention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the KyotoProtocol.

Emissions of greenhouse gases in Sweden, excluding emissions and removals from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF), fell by
25 % over the period 1990–2015 and are expected to continue to decrease. By 2020, aggregate emissions are projected to be 30 % below the 1990 level. By 2030 we expect a further reduction to 36 % below the 1990 level.
