National Defence Radio Establishment
The National Defence Radio Establishment conducts signals intelligence for foreign phenomena on behalf of the Government, the Government Offices, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Security Service and the National Operative Department of the Swedish Police Authority. The Establishment’s intelligence supports the Government in its foreign, security and defence policy work.
The Establishment is also tasked with providing technical information security support to government agencies and individual operators.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is located within the National Defence Radio Establishment. It is tasked with developing and strengthening Sweden’s overall ability to prevent, detect and manage hostile cyber threats and other IT incidents.
