Description of the sanctions

It is prohibited to directly or indirectly supply, sell or transfer arms and related materiel, including ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment or related spare parts from the EU to South Sudan. It is also prohibited to provide technical and financial assistance related to military activities. The same applies to persons associated with them. This type of measure may be decided independently by the EU or, on similar grounds, by the United Nations Sanctions Committee.
