Changes to the advice against non-essential travel to countries in Europe

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs is lifting its advice against non-essential travel to Austria and Liechtenstein. The decision enters into force on 13 August.
Regarding the advice against non-essential travel to all countries that was issued on 14 March 2020 and has since been extended, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs has decided the following:
- The advice against non-essential travel to Liechtenstein and Austria is lifted as of 13 August.
(In a previous decision, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs lifted the advice against non-essential travel to: Andorra, Belgium, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Switzerland and the Vatican City.) - For other countries in the EU, the EEA (European Economic Area) and the Schengen area [1], and the United Kingdom, the advice against non-essential travel is extended up to and including 26 August 2020.
- The Ministry for Foreign Affairs previously issued advice against non-essential travel to countries outside the EU, the EEA, the Schengen area and the United Kingdom, up to and including 31 August 2020. This decision still applies.
[1] Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
