Nominees of the Swedish Government’s Music Export Prize for 2022

On 14 March, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell will present the Government’s Music Export Prize for 2022. The nominees include internationally renowned Swedish artists and songwriters.

“The nominees for the Music Export Prize exemplify the range of artists and genres of the Swedish music scene. I am pleased that the Swedish music phenomenon continues to showcase its success, and I am proud to present the Government’s Music Export Prize for 2022,” says Mr Forssell.

The nominees are:

  • Bladee
  • First Aid Kit
  • LIOHN & Klahr
  • Tove Lo
  • Watain

During the ceremony, Mr Forssell will also present the Government’s Special Prize for long-standing contributions to Swedish music exports and the Honourable Mention for achievements of particular importance to the internationalisation of Swedish music.

The Government’s Music Export Prize

The Government’s Music Export Prize has been awarded annually since 1997 to an artist who has been internationally successful during the preceding year and has contributed to Swedish musical export success and to a positive image of Sweden. A jury nominates the artists and subsequently chooses the winner.
