Minister for Foreign Affairs Tobias Billström to take part in informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs

Published

On 30–31 May, Mr Billström will take part in an informal meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Prague.

“This informal NATO ministerial meeting is an important opportunity to prepare for the NATO Summit in July. We will discuss priority issues, particularly support to Ukraine,” says Mr Billström.

At the meeting in Prague, NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs will have the opportunity to move forward on crucial issues before the Summit, which will take place in Washington DC on 9–11 July. An important topic on the agenda will be Ukraine-NATO relations and the Alliance’s role in long-term support to the country.

“NATO will have an enhanced role in efforts to provide Ukraine with long-term security support, which Sweden stands behind. We all need to increase our efforts to help Ukraine defend itself,” says Mr Billström.
