Pål Jonson travels to Asia and the Pacific Region

The trip will begin in Singapore with the Shangri-La Dialogue on 31 May–2 June, including a panel on international operations and security in the Indo-Pacific and Euro-Atlantic areas. The Shangri-La Dialogue is a recurring event arranged by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS).

On 3–4 June, Mr Jonson will travel to Canberra, Australia for bilateral meetings with Australian government representatives and a speech at the Joining Forces defence summit, which will be held by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI).

The next leg of the journey will begin on 5 June with a trip to Manila, the Philippines, where Mr Jonson will meet with Minister for Defence of the Republic of the Philippines Gilberto Teodoro Jr and participate in the Swedish Embassy’s National Day celebrations.
