Minister for Defence to meet Slovak counterpart in Örnsköldsvik

Minister for Defence Pål Jonson has invited his Slovak counterpart, Minister of Defence of the Slovak Republic Robert Kaliňák, to Sweden and Örnsköldsvik on Friday 20 February 2026. The purpose of the visit is to attend the roll-out of Slovakia’s first combat vehicle 90 (CV 90) at the Örnsköldsvik factory.
In December 2023, Slovakia signed a contract worth around SEK 15 billion for the delivery of 152 MkIV CV 90s. On Friday 20 February, Mr Jonson and Mr Kaliňák will attend a ceremony for the roll-out of the first of these vehicles from BAE Hägglunds’ factory in Örnsköldsvik.
