Government doubles innovation initiative for Ukraine to SEK 300 million
The Government has previously tasked the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration with identifying, testing and funding solutions for defence innovation needed by Ukraine. The Government is now doubling this initiative to SEK 300 million, financed through support package 20 to Ukraine. A panel of experts from Sweden and Ukraine has reviewed various types of anti-drone systems and is now taking them forward for serial production.

This strategic approach creates conditions to accelerate and mutually strengthen innovation in the military and civilian sectors, contributing to Sweden’s defence capability and innovative capacity, increased competitiveness and enhanced security.
