Sweden hosts trade dialogue between United States and People’s Republic of China

On 28–29 July, Sweden hosted a high-level dialogue on trade and other related matters between the United States and China in Stockholm. The meeting was arranged at the joint request of the parties and is an important step in the ongoing trade negotiations between the US and China.

China was represented by Vice Premier He Lifeng, and the United States by Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.

In conjunction with the dialogue on trade, bilateral meetings between Sweden and the respective countries’ representatives were also held. Mr Kristersson, Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister for Finance Elisabeth Svantesson and Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa took part on behalf of the Swedish Government.
