The Zorn Collections

The Zorn Collections came into the possession of the Swedish State in 1942 via the wills of Anders and Emma Zorn. The wills are comparable to a charter of foundation and describe how the heritage of Anders and Emma Zorn is to be looked after for future generations. The Zorn Collections is the official name of their donation, which includes over 60 buildings and close to 20 000 objects, covering everything from Zorn’s own work to Dala paintings, woven tapestries, pieces of silver and Rembrandt etchings.

The Zorn Collections are comprised of four main components: the Zorn Museum, Zorn House, Zorn's Gammelgård and Gopsmor. In 1995, the Textile Museum was added to Zorn's Gammelgård. Anders and Emma Zorn also left a substantial amount of capital. This is administered according to their wishes by Uppsala University through a fund called the Zorn Fund.
