Sweden’s Ambassador for Human Rights

Sweden’s Ambassador for Human Rights is tasked with strengthening work on the Government’s priorities regarding human rights. The Ambassador is an additional resource for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and missions abroad in ongoing work and helps to increase the visibility of Sweden’s policy in this area. Focus is on dialogue with states, organisations and civil society, and on various forms of outreach.

In addition, the Ambassador leads Sweden’s delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, is co-chair of the Government Offices’ inter-ministerial working group for human rights together with Sweden’s Ministry of Employment and sits on the Per Anger Prize jury.
