Focus on trade and investments as Johan Forssell visits London

Published

On 23 May, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell is travelling to London for the third annual UK-Sweden Business Forum. Mr Forssell is meeting with Minister of State for Trade Policy Greg Hands and Swedish and British companies for a roundtable discussion on trade and investments in the building, transport and logistics sectors.

“The United Kingdom is one of Sweden’s most important trade partners. Trade in services, in particular, has increased in recent years, and the UK is currently the second-largest market for Swedish service exports. I look forward to meeting with my British colleague and business representatives to discuss how we can further increase trade and investments,” says Mr Forssell.

The Business Forum is a platform for strategic dialogue between Swedish and British ministers and companies on current trade issues. This year’s meeting has been organised by the Embassy of Sweden in London in cooperation with Business Sweden.

In addition to the roundtable discussion, Mr Forssell and Mr Hands are holding a separate meeting to discuss how trade relations between Sweden and the UK can evolve and be made stronger.

Mr Forssell is also meeting with various actors to discuss Ukraine’s reconstruction, which is a high-priority issue for both Sweden and the UK.
