Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson to host Nordic summit on security and competitiveness in Stockholm

On 13–14 May, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will host the heads of government of the Nordic countries and Germany’s Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz at a summit in Stockholm.
During the first day of the summit, the heads of government of the five Nordic countries will meet to discuss Nordic competitiveness, together with Nordic business sector representatives.
Later that day, Mr Scholz will join the summit. The heads of government will then visit Ericsson, where they will discuss security policy issues such as hybrid threats, civil preparedness and new technologies. At a dinner that evening, discussions will centre on continued support to Ukraine.
On 14 May, Mr Kristersson and Mr Scholz will hold bilateral talks. The two leaders will also visit Norrsken Foundation, which supports young growth companies whose products are expected to have a positive influence on the green and digital transition. During the meeting, they will sign an updated strategic innovation partnership agreement between Sweden and Germany.
On Monday 13 May, a press conference will be held with the five Nordic heads of government and Germany’s Federal Chancellor. The following day, 14 May, Mr Kristersson and Mr Scholz will hold a joint press conference.
Photographers will also have the opportunity to cover other parts of the programme.
A detailed programme will be sent to accredited journalists ahead of the summit.
Media accreditation
Members of the media who wish to cover the summit need special accreditation from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The deadline to apply for accreditation is Wednesday 8 May 2024.
