16.5 Private health care

There are also a number of private hospitals and clinics offering both emergency medical care and planned medical care. Private hospitals have their own registration system that is not connected to the Region Stockholm hospital reserve number system mentioned above. Charges at private clinics may also differ from the fixed rate charged at the county council hospitals and medical centres.
