Minister for Defence Pål Jonson to visit London

Published

On Tuesday 25 March, Minister for Defence Pål Jonson will travel to London for bilateral talks with the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for Defence John Healey.

The defence ministers’ talks will focus on matters related to the serious security situation in our neighbourhood and continued support to Ukraine.

Sweden and the UK’s enhanced defence cooperation, both bilaterally and multilaterally – including through the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) and NATO – will also be discussed at Tuesday’s defence minister meeting.

Sweden’s cooperation with the UK is extensive and of particular importance to security in our neighbourhood. In 2023, they entered into a strategic partnership that includes security and defence.
