Nominees for the Government’s Cultural and Creative Industries Export Prize

On 16 June 2026, Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa will present the Government’s Cultural and Creative Industries Export Prize for achievements in 2025. Among the nominees are internationally successful entrepreneurs from across the cultural and creative sectors.

“The Government regards the cultural and creative industries as an important primary industry for Sweden. They create jobs, drive innovation, and enhance growth. It is with great pride that I bring together representatives from these industries to recognise and celebrate the creators and entrepreneurs who have made a significant global impact over the past year. The nominees reflect the breadth of Swedish creativity and how it strengthens Swedish exports and increases Sweden’s visibility around the world”, says Mr Dousa.

The nominees are:

  • Green Furniture Concept (Design)
  • Josephine Bornebusch (Film and TV Production)
  • Gustaf Westman (Design)
  • Hazelight Studios (Video Games)

During the ceremony in Södra Ljusgården at Nationalmuseum, Sweden’s museum of art and design, Mr Dousa will also present the Rising Star Award, given to a person or company within the cultural and creative industries that has successfully begun their internationalisation journey or demonstrated their strong export potential.

The Government’s Cultural and Creative Industries Export Prize

The Government’s Cultural and Creative Industries Export Prize aims to highlight the breadth of the cultural and creative industries and their contribution to Swedish exports and the promotion of Sweden as an innovative and creative country. The Prize has been awarded since 2017 and recognises a winner who has served as an outstanding example within their field, contributing to Swedish exports and raising Sweden’s visibility abroad. The Prize is awarded for achievements made during the previous year and covers ten sectors: architecture, video games, design, film and TV production, photography, art, literature, media and marketing communication, fashion, and performing arts.
