5.1 Agrément

Requests for agrément for heads of mission must be submitted to the Protocol Department at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs with a note verbale from the sending State through the embassy of the sending State. The note should clearly specify the name of the proposed head of mission, the official residence of their posting and include an updated CV (including language skills) in English. Requests for agrément usually take 4–6 weeks to process, except during summer months when it may take longer. Please e-mail the request to [email protected].

A non-resident head of mission must obtain agrément in the country where they have official residence before a request for agrément can be processed in Sweden.
