13.3 Title deed

All changes of ownership of real estate properties must be registered in the Lantmäteriet (the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority)  property register within three months of the transfer of ownership. An application with an original copy of the contract must be sent to Lantmäteriet. Once the application has been processed, it will be returned to the buyer. The contract must fulfil certain requirements such as clearly specifying the cadastre, the extent of the acquisition and the purchase sum, and be signed by both parties.
