Sweden and the United Kingdom strengthen research cooperation

Today, 20 October, Maria Nilsson, State Secretary to Minister for Upper Secondary School, Higher Education and Research Lotta Edholm, and Lord Vallance, UK Minister for Science, Innovation, Research and Nuclear signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on research and innovation. The signing took place at the Swedish Ambassador’s residence in London.

“The United Kingdom is one of Sweden’s most important bilateral partners. With this MoU we are further deepening our cooperation within research and innovation. The aim is for it to be of concrete benefit to collaborations between researchers in Sweden and the UK and to be able to contribute to joint activities that, among other things, will strengthen excellence, openness and research security,” says Ms Edholm.
